New live-action ‘Pinocchio’ in Rome revealved

Italian director Matteo Garrone has revealed re-imagining of ‘Pinocchio’ as a live action title in Rome.

 The unveiling was set on Thursday together with Oscar-winner Roberto Benigni, who plays Mastro Geppetto, and other key cast members.

This comes ahead of the much anticipated public opening in Italy.

Public broadcaster RAI's film production/distribution arm as leading Italian distributor is due to release ‘Pinocchio’ December 19, 2019 on an initial 600 screens.

The film is an international co-production between Italy and France, The flick may kick off international release from the Berlin Film Festival in an out-of-competition slot, a media report said.
